As part of my fundraising for Team in Training (for which I am still soliciting donations, by the way), I am holding a WDW information session. This presentation will be geared toward those people who are making their first trip down to Walt Disney World. WDW is huge – both in geography and complexity – and having some basic information before you go can increase your enjoyment of the trip by orders of magnitude. At this presentation, we’ll cover facets of a Disney vacation such as: the four parks, two water parks, Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk, the 20+ resorts, Fastpass, Photopass, Extra Magic Hours, Park Hopping, Package Delivery, Magical Express, WDW Transportation, Touring Plan advice, Hidden Mickeys, Restaurants and Dining Reservations, and much more.
In addition, three Disney celebrity authors have contributed donations to this event, which I will be raffling off.
- Lou Mongello of WDW Radio has generously donated 2 issues of his Celebrations Magazine, three of his Audio Guides to Walt Disney World, and his WDW Trivia Book.
- Dr. Steve Barrett of Hidden Mickeys fame has donated three of his Hidden Mickeys books, for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and the Disney Cruise Line; as well as his Hassle Free Walt Disney World Vacation.
- Len Testa of TouringPlans.com and the WDW Today podcast has donated a copy of what I consider my Disney Bible – the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.
The cost for this event will be a $5.00 donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 8:15pm at the Mueller Center of RPI on 15th Street in Troy, NY.
